ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Art for Everyone

The Foundation was established in 1997 as a non-profit organization to manage the collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation, provide supplemental funding for education and outreach in conjunction with related exhibitions, and publish scholarly texts.  Since the program’s inception, the Foundation has organized over 110 exhibitions and has art exhibited at over 160 museums.

Artists in the Collection

While the collections consist primarily of prints and multiples, Schnitzer also collects sculpture, painting, glass, and continues his family’s legacy of acquiring works by local artists in the Pacific Northwest.

Lending Program

The Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation has been collaborating with museums to exhibit and lend work from its collections since 1997. The Foundation is committed to making work available to qualified museums  without any fees other than transportation and insurance. New projects are undertaken at the discretion of Jordan Schnitzer.
